Aviculture Productions (Tony and Ray) headed off to the 2012 Forbes bird sale yesterday.
The 2012 sale returned to the showground - but in a new pavillion. Construction wasn't quite finished - but the location was still adequate - it should be much better next year though.
Bird numbers were down slightly on previous years but there was still a good selection of parrots and finches which included a B&G Macaw, lots of Amazons and then some more common ringnecks, lorikeets, neophemas and finches etc.
The chilly morning eventually turned into a nice day in Forbes.
There was a good hour of buyers through the shed but quickly dropped back to the sellers - a good chance to catchup with people you only see a couple of times a year.
It appeared a good percentage of birds were sold which should bring the sellers back next year.
Once again the nice people of the Central West Bird Club put on a good sale.
Hope to see you there next year.
